Apply to become a fosterer
As a charity committed to providing the very best care for all our dogs, we are always looking for fosterers to provide a safe home until the perfect permanent home can be found.

Like most rescues, we rely on a network of volunteers to provide a caring home and foster care for our dogs. All our volunteers are very important to us but due to the number of dogs needing our help, we will never have enough fosterers.
We are looking for new volunteers to join our team of foster carers and help provide a loving and homely environment for a foster dog in our care.
What are the benefits of fostering a dog?
-
Fostering is a great opportunity to make a real difference to the life of a spaniel in need.
-
You can enjoy having a spaniel, without any long-term commitment. Every dog remains our responsibility throughout their time in foster with you.
-
You’ll give a spaniel valuable experience of home life and get to know what makes them tick.
-
When it comes to finding their forever home, with your feedback we will have a much better idea of how to ensure a happy adoption and forever home.
-
Fostering is flexible. We know life can be unpredictable and we are happy to work around your availability.
-
We cover all essential costs such as vet bills and flea/worm treatments.
-
We’ll share our training expertise, all our behaviourists and trainers will be on hand to help you to better understand spaniels and their behaviour
-
Did we mention you get to have a temporary best pal to fill your life with joy and laughter?
-
Should you decide you cannot part with your foster spaniel, you are first in line to adopt them and provide their forever home!
Your responsibility as a fosterer
-
You'll need to commit to the care of your foster dog, which includes ensuring they're not left alone for more than four hours over a 24-hour period
-
Treat your foster dog as one of your own
-
Provide food, water, beds, toys and treats (and lots of cuddles)
-
Provide daily care and exercise
-
Training as required (support available from our team)
Please complete the form below and e-mail some photos of your garden including fences, gates and any weak areas to foster@spanielrescuefoundation.org

Every application is read, reviewed and responded to.
