Bonnie has a wonderfully kind, gentle and loving nature, is always happy and is an absolute joy to be around. This beautiful girl thrives on human company and like any young dog, she sometimes has her mad half-hour where she gets a little giddy and likes to run around and bounce off the dog beds whilst trying to get the other dogs to play. She doesn't bark unless she wants another dog to play and has never whined in the home– she is simply a gorgeous girl.
Dog/Cat test: Bonnie is in the foster home with 7 dogs of different ages, male and female. She does play with other dogs occasionally, will share beds, and eats her food and treats among them.
She is a young dog with medium energy and in the home, she will happily settle quietly at your feet if you are working. With visitors, she willingly approaches them to say hello and may jump up to greet them.
Bonnie isn’t very interested in soft toys but loves to play with a ball and will happily entertain herself with it. She also loves any sniffing games which we do outside and on her walks. We are helping her learn how to walk on a lead, she is a strong dog and will pull given the opportunity. She may be submissive when first meeting dogs out on a walk and puts her tail between her legs but is happy to walk with them.
Bonnie is still very young, and she settles very well in the home, if over tired she may sometimes become mouthy, but we redirect on to a chewy treat and this has never been a problem.
Whilst still in the early stages of her training, she now knows her name and can sit, we are working on lead walking, putting the harness on, doorways and recall. Bonnie may try to jump up at the table and we use the ‘down’ command to which she responds very well. She is keen to learn and is food-motivated so is easy to train. Toilet training is going very well and she is clean overnight.
Ideal Home for Bonnie

Bonnie is looking for an active home, a home that is keen on training a young dog, she would love and excel at scent work, flyball, and Canicross. She would enjoy life with a family with older children (12+), and don't forget those cuddles, Bonnie loves to settle near you for lots of cuddle time!
Bonnie has been vaccinated, is up to date with flea and worm treatments and will be adopted with a contract to neuter her at the appropriate age.
Dog/Cat test: Bonnie is in the foster home with 7 dogs of different ages, male and female. She does play with other dogs occasionally, will share beds, and eats her food and treats among them. Bonnie will chase a cat, she has sniffed and passed one while on lead.
Home Alone: Bonnie settles well when left in the house.
Children: Not been around children whilst in foster, but we feel older children that know about young dogs would be suitable for Bonnie.
Vet visit: Bonnie was excellent at the vet, happy to be touched all over and sat beautifully in the waiting room.
Medical Issues: None

Bite History: Bonnie has never bitten a person or a dog
Travelling: Bonnie is a great traveller; she has travelled in a crate on numerous occasions and also in a harness and seat belt and will settle immediately

Sleeping: Bonnies sleeps on the sofa and raised beds in the home, she is with other dogs all the time and is always quiet at night.
Behaviour: Bonnie has no behavioural issues although loves to chase leaves, birds etc, Her fosterer plays ball with her by throwing it letting it settle and then sending her to retrieve it.

Bonnie has experienced seeing livestock - she doesn't bark or lunge at sheep, goats or horses although she is keen on birds and will lunge if not distracted.
As Bonnie is still very young and inquisitive, she is learning the ‘leave’ command and is responding well.
